Production Work
As a kid I made up worlds and sought stories that helped me find meaning in all things. As an adult I momentarily through the curtains a bit on that dream. For a decade while working primarily in marketing, I still yearned for greater creative freedom, working in different mediums and wanting to tell stories that brought meaning and whimsy again. While I had to sometimes switch it to the back-burner, my passion for creating worlds and bringing stories to life would boil to the surface demanding to be heard. I have had the great fortune to collaborate with many fantastic artist from all kinds of disciplines and backgrounds. Immersing myself into other creatives’ work and contributing to make him memorable experience, this was the main fuel for the metaphorical furnace that keeps my creative engine roaring.
Even as I had to device marketing strategies and create “content” for clients in the tech industry, I always found the need to find time to work on film, produce a podcast, write a script that wasn’t pushing a consumer product. I found that all the skills and experiences I picked up along the way allowed me to communicate ideas better. Working in sets were we were shoulder-to-shoulder, allow me to form a vision to adapt my work, but also blend my teams abilities to create a finished product that is vastly greater than the sum of all its parts.
This wanton need to create goes hand in hand with my curiosity about our world and all its peoples. I’m constantly drawn to collaborating with minds across different mediums, crafting stories that inspire, connect, and fuel the dreams of those who share in the journey.
One of my recent passion projects was helping my good friend Ricardo produce episodes of El Buen Podcast (now El Buen Rick) — contributing to behind-the-scenes concept work, guest research, and the storytelling that brings each episode to life.
With over a decade in South Florida’s independent productions, I’m always eager to jump into creative projects — producing, filming, writing, or finding new ways to play a support role on a passionate team’s vision. I thrive on stepping outside my comfort zone, picking up new skills, and documenting processes so others can build on them.
If you’ve got a project you’re excited about (big or small) I’d love to hear about it and see how we can create something together!
